The Landmarks Team received the Heritage Champion Award at the Vero Canterbury Heritage Awards held in the newly renovated Knox Church on Thursday 23 October 2014.

The Canterbury Heritage Awards are held every two years to recognise excellence in heritage retention and conservation, heritage tourism and heritage education. The Heritage Champion award is awarded for heritage advocacy by a group or individual in the preservation of a heritage or wahi tapu site or increasing public awareness of heritage and bi-cultural heritage issues.
