Victoria Park and gates

Published: 21-Sep-2015

We are currently researching Victoria Park and gates.

The Council purchased a little over two acres of land adjacent to the fire station in 1902 from Sir Westby Perceval. It was originally named Victoria Square.

The gates were erected to mark the coronation of Edward VII. These original wooden gates are still in place.
